Can I drive the boat?

For your own safety and from our experience, renting a boat without a captain increases the risk of injury and damage. Our boats must be operated by an approved captain. We’ll send you a list of approved experienced boat captains for you to choose from.

Suggested Itinerary

There is no set route you decide where to go, our captains' favorites are:

- a trip north to the sandbar, millionaire row, Indian creek Village (usually on 4-hour+ trips)

- or a trip south: star island, downtown Miami, and the river, the port of Miami, fisher island 🙂 perfect for 2/3 hours.

Of course, you can stop and swim and enjoy the mat at nice islands on the bay. Whether you want to sightsee or just play your own music, relax, or party, it is totally up to you 🥰

Cancellation policy

Free cancellations until 7 days before the booking start date.
50% refund for cancellations between 3-7 days before the booking start date.
Cancellations within 3 days of the booking start date are non-refundable.
No show (15 minutes late) = no refund

Weather policy

The weather in Miami is unpredictable! We sail rain or shine but never if the weather is unsafe.

We offer a thrid party rain insurance that you can purchase up to 5 days before your booking date.

If 2 hours before the appointment, there is a 70% chance of rain for more than half of the trip, we’ll give you 3 options:

1- maintain the appointment
2- postpone for a few hours based on availability
3- get an in-house credit and reschedule for another day (not on a weekend), the captain must still be paid one hour as compensation.

Canceling will be at no cost only in case of thunderstorms, US Coast Guards advisory for small crafts, and winds over 20 mph.

If we advised you the weather will get better by the time of your appointment and you still decide to take a house credit and the weather actually is good at the time of your appointment, we reserve the right to charge a $150 rescheduling fee.

Captain M Boat Rentals reserves the right to make changes to the reservation in the event the reserved boat would become unavailable for any reason, or for unsafe weather.
If we have to downgrade because of a breakdown or any reason, the price will be reduced accordingly.

What are the requirements to rent a boat?

Do I need to wear a life jacket?

For your own safety, the boat is equipped with all the safety equipment required by the U.S. Coast Guards. Passengers older than 6 years old are not required to wear a life vest while underway.

That being said, if you are more comfortable wearing the life vest while on board, you are more than welcome to.

Make sure to inform us if you plan to bring more than 1 child under 6 years old so we can plan the life jackets accordingly.

Prices displayed on the front page include gas, captain, and taxes.

Online you will pay for boat, gas (flat rate of $25) and taxes.

When you get to the marina, you will pay for the Captain fee (from $40 an hour).

Again, the price you see on the front page is your final price.

Tips are NOT mandatory but greatly appreciated. They are at our guests' sole discretion therefore they are not included in the total price.

What is online booking and how do I use it?

Online booking is a convenient way of finding and booking your boat rental experience online. Using Aquarius Boat Rental and Tours' website you can:

select the perfect date and time.
pick your boat.
check an itinerary to suit your journey expectations.
request and purchase the rain insurance
pay online by credit or debit card using our secure server, or with one of our other payment methods where available.

Can I check availability and fares without actually booking a boat?

Can I make a reservation online with my credit card if I am not attending?

For security reasons, the holder of the credit card used to book a boat or an experience is typically one of the riders. At Aquarius Boat Rental, we fight credit card fraudsters, therefore you will be required to upload the credit card used to pay for the boat ride on the online contract prior to attending your boat ride.

If you are booking for someone else, we still ask you to provide the card used for payment and a form of identification that matches the cardholder's name.

We recommend that you designate someone to be your representative on the boat and that this person sends her/his ID as well.

Can I bring my baby / kids on the boat?

Can I go to a restaurant by boat?

A few restaurants accept docking: Schuckers, Standard, Kiki on the River, sea spice, Casablanca, Garcia, Duffys, Lique.

Make sure to call them to reserve a spot for landing. Some of them charge landing fees. Very importantly, the charter time always starts when we leave the dock and stops when we return.

So you need to plan accordingly with the number of hours you book.
